(CVI) is the 7th general insurance Company in Cambodia, which was established and developed base on 53 years experience in finance and banking of BIDV combining with more than 10 years experience on insurance of JV BIDV-QBE and BIC in Vietnam and Laos market.

CVI is a joint venture between 3 shareholders IDCC (BIDV invested 80%), Kasimex and NH Holdings, which was launching in September 2009. CVI engaged in general insurance, reinsurance, claims, risk management and investment.

MILESTONES:

July 23, 2009 : Granted a license from Ministry of Economic and Finance for Cambodia-Vietnam Insurance Company JV (CVI).

November 13, 2009 : Granted official operating permitment form Ministry of Economic and Finance for doing insurance in Cambodia.

December 3, 2009 : Signing the 1st contract with Canadian bank office building, the highest building at Phnom Penh City.

December 14, 2009 : Issuing aviation insurance policy for Cambodia Angkor Air Ltd.
